Since its founding nearly 20 years ago, the White Orchid has earned and maintained a reputation for offering beautiful fashions and unparalleled customer service. As a result, it comes as no surprise that South Hills residents voted the White Orchid as the "Best Bridal Shop " in a recent (2004) survey. The White Orchid story has its beginning in the early spring of 1984, when the original owners, Lynne Maxwell and Emma Neimeyer, first opened the doors. Located on Route 51, near the Century III Mall, the White Orchid soon became a premier bridal and special occasion salon. A few years later, Jackie King joined the management team and Emma decided to concentrate on fashion design and tailoring.
