Founded in 1996, The Traditional Martial Arts Society preserves the original techniques of the Japanese Samurai unchanged since feudal Japan. Unarmed and weapon techniques are all taught, based on a common set of movement principles. Through the instruction in these arts, the Traditional Martial Arts Society preserves a historical martial arts legacy, and prepares individuals to effectively deal with dangerous situations. These arts have not been altered for sporting competition, nor have they been altered to provide a spiritual path. They are authentic martial arts, rarely found elsewhere.
