The Aleph Institute, a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) religious organization, stands alone as the foremost agency in the world today, serving the spiritual needs of incarcerated Jews and their families. A not-for-profit Jewish religious organization, Aleph provides welcome relief for Jews who have been virtually forgotten by traditional American Jewish organizations. Aleph’s mission is a generally thankless one. The Institute often struggles against challenging odds to create, organize and facilitate a wealth of programs. These programs spread the wellsprings of Jewish wisdom, knowledge and understanding to all who request it, regardless of who they are or their ability to pay. Aleph has also undertaken raising funds for these significant programs on a perennial basis.
