Ray Kraus entered the golf business in 1973 when his mother, Helen, asked him to be part of her business in a small repair shop she started in Lawrenceville. As the business grew Ray convinced his mother to open a second location in the South Hills in which he would manage. That store opened in Castle Shannon in 1983 and both stores went from small repair shops to a full service golf stores. Today, well into the new century Ray now owns both stores, Golf Specialtees of the South Hills and Pittsburgh Golf Center, with over 28 years in the golf business both stores offer on site quality repair service, custom clubs, lessons, accessories, etc...
